Incredible Falafel from Taiim Falafel Shack, Hastings-on-Hudson

Taiim Falafel Shack

Falafel, Lentil soup, Beef shawarma, Babaghanouj

You have heard me gripe about the lack of diverse food in Westchester. So every time I find good ethnic food I feel like it’s my birthday. Wednesday was my birthday because I found Taiim Falafel Shack. Everything I ate was fantastic. My husband who is scared of any type of seasoning besides salt and pepper even liked his beef shawarma sandwich. I give the Taiim Falafel Shack two thumbs up and if I had three, they would get that one also.

Why this business is featured on The Lily List:

  • Incredible falafel. It’s not greasy, it’s not over-stuffed, and the seasoning is perfect.
  • Shawarma sandwiches. Choice of beef or chicken. I tried the beef, the flavor was excellent.
  • Lentil soup. There is a spice in this soup that makes it a little bit spicy which I really liked.
  • Israeli chopped salad. Fresh cucumber, tomatoes, green onion, and herbs. Refreshing.
  • Affordable prices. Sandwiches were $5 and if you buy 6, your 7th is free.

Additional comments from The Lily List

I have tried their foods at the Chappaqua Farmer’s Mkt. The prices have gone up from those posted on The Lily List review and are now too high. The prepared foods are not consistent quality week to week. Not a good value, too bad.
