Fresh Seafood from Day Boat Cafe, Irvington

Day Boat Cafe, Irvington

Day Boat Scallops, Half of Lobster Roll

A favorite pastime on beach vacations is going to the local crab, clam, fish shack for fresh, fried, sometimes grilled, seafood of the day.  The Day Boat Cafe is Westchester’s cleaner, non-paper, non-plastic version of this pastime.  The menu selection covers all sea-food groups; fish, shellfish, raw, cooked, in sandwiches, in soups.  Everything is seasoned and cooked to showcase the freshness of the seafood.  If it’s warm enough, after your meal enjoy a stroll along the river or in Matthiessen Park.

Why The Lily List features this business:

  • Day Boat Scallops.  Tender, big, and juicy.
  • Excellent service.  I dined with a friend and our toddlers.  With too many menu items to choose from, we decided to order several dishes and share.  The kitchen and waitstaff were nothing but accommodating.  All of our orders were split in half and plated separately before arriving to the table, and the kids meal came out with our appetizers to occupy them right away.
  • Lobster Roll.  Meaty lobster seasoned on a perfectly toasted bun.  The photo above only shows half the size of the lobster roll.
Cost:

Entrees ($15 – $25).  Scallops ($24).  Lobster Roll ($25).
